The Waterloo Center for the Arts holds an exceptional permanent art collection including the largest public collection of Haitian artwork in the the world, a Midwest Regionalist collection including works by Grant Wood and Thomas Hart Benton, American Decorative Art and International Folk Art.
The Center is also home to a unique Gift Store, the ArtHouse Café, and new Ceramics and Digital Arts Studios. The Center hosts gallery exhibitions, live music events & performances, classes/workshops, and programs for youth, families and adults. The Center is also an outstanding facility to host meetings and receptions! The Center's newest addition is the Phelps Youth Pavilion, an interactive children’s museum where kids of all ages can explore over 40 hands-on exhibits areas – from simple painting projects to high-tech adventures. |
